Rush Rumble – Jenolan 2025

Thanks for registering to ride the Rush Rumble – Jenolan Fun Trail Ride 2025.

 

Bike Registration and Drivers Licence

Your bike must have a registration plate displayed or you will not be allowed to start!! This is a required forestry rule!

We have been informed by Forestry NSW that the local POLICE will be on site and checking these details. Please note that this is your RESPONSIBILITY to make sure that you comply to the rules of riding in the State Forest!!!!

 

Sign-on

Sign on will be at the start\finish are as shown on the Location and Camping links and waypoints. Please bring present your bike road licence and bike registration papers.

 

Track Markers (Arrows & signs)

 

      All forestry roads are open to the public and is two-way traffic, ensure at ALL TIMES YOU ABIDE BY THE SPEED LIMIT OF 60KM, OR SLOWER FOR THE CONDITIONS, ensure you stay as far left as possible at all times.

 

Safety

  •     Ride within your limit at all times – this is not a race.

  •     If you feel unsafe or cannot continue, we will organize to get you back safely.

  •     Never ride backwards against the direction of the track or riders

  •     Always follow the road rules, especially staying left at all times

  •     Keep vigilant for any dangerous obstacles and the trail conditions at all times.

  •     Any unsafe conditions please stop and warn other riders. Fix the problem or report it to the sweep.   

  •     Do not stray or ride outside the designated allocated area. Stay on the track.

 

Type of Ride and Level of Riders

This is a fun trail ride in a forest environment with obstacles such as sticks, rocks, logs, hills, uneven surfaces, and water crossing. Caution must be taken at all times. Please note THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER’S RIDE! For beginner rides please visit our website or contact us and we will put you on the mailing list.

 

Rush Helpers and Riders (high vis vest) and Procedure:

Our ground crew and riders can be easily identified and if you need assistance, our team will be in the yellow or orange high vis vest. Each group will be lead from the start of the marked trail, please ensure the following:

 

  •     No rider is to overtake the lead rider of each group for the first few kilometers.

  •     Always be cautious of on-coming traffic on all roads at all times. This includes roads in the state forest.

  •     Maintain a slow speed to suit the conditions and maintain speed limit on all roads.

  •     Our sweeps will be riding between the riders on the trail to help when and where needed, be polite!

Medical Insurance/Ambulance Cover

It is compulsory for this ride that all riders have Ambulance and medical Insurance. If you are injured or hurt, Ambulance Helicopters may be the only exit out of the area. You never know what may happen and the small amount you pay is well worthwhile. Please make sure that you have current ambulance cover and medical Insurance. We do not provide this for you and you are responsible to make sure that you are covered!

 

During an Emergency “STAY CALM”. By responding calmly in an emergency, you could prevent injury or death to staff or visitors.

 

Medical Emergency

Check and control the situation if it is safe. Do not move the casualties unless it is safe to do so, remain with the casualty and provide support. Raise the alarm via 2-way radio and phone emergency services, await instructions from emergency services and assist if required.

 

Life threatening response - immediately notify emergency services via the Emergency Plus app or immediately call 000

We also have a secondary option for life-threatening situations in the form of an EPIRB – 3EF62D8E3F81FE0.

 

If an ambulance is required confirm GPS co ordinance and map location with road access reference through the Emergency Plus app

 

If helicopter rescue is required confirm GPS co ordinance through the Emergency Plus app the closest landing location will near the start\finish for road access reference

 

General - Please

  •     NO GPS’s as this is a forestry permitted authorised ride and Exclusion Zones.

  •     Respect our environment, neighbours, staff, all riders and the local district. 

  •     Keep noise down to a minimum, NO NOISY BIKES!

  •     Do not start your bikes before we start riding.

  •     Keep your area clean at all times and take all your litter\rubbish with you!

  •     Respect and help other riders on the ride.

  •     Have Fun and Come ride with us again.

  •     Clean and dry your headlight plastics before sticking your number (from sign-on) onto your headlight plastics.

Forestry and landowners

We would like to thank the traditional landowners, the Burra Burra people, a clan group of the Gundugurra Nation. We also would like to thank all the team at Forestry Corporation for the privilege and permission to ride in these wonderful spots. Please take the time to consider that we are invited and only granted permission on the grounds we abide by some simple rules of common courtesy and respect of the area.

 

We all play a part in providing a safe and fun recreational sport and be part of future forestry planning and management so we can continue enjoying these amazing places.     

 

Final Information

  •     Bring all your camping gear including food, water, showers, cooking materials etc.

  •     Fuel for your bike to ride 2 days (about 150Km).

  •     You will need to carry a motorcycle License.

  •     YOU MUST HAVE YOUR BIKE REGISTRATION PLATE DISPLAYED AND VISIBLE AS POLICE MAY BE IN THE AREA.

  •     Bring spare front and rear tubes, bum bag - complete with tools, tyre levers, pump, and spark plug.

  •     A Camelback or similar is necessary.

  •     You must wear proper riding gear which includes helmet, googles, enduro boots, gloves, knee guards, pants, and long sleeve riding jersey.

  •     If it is wet, be prepared for slippery trails.

  •     Make sure your bike has good tyres, brake pads, chain and sprockets.

  •     Please note that there is no phone reception at the start\finish area, however there is reception throughout the forest, so if you need to contact us, please send a text message to our staff and one of us should receive it once we come into range.
